These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Step Select online store and every purchase you make in it. Please read them before placing an order. By using the site or confirming a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the store.

1. Who we are

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live (21 in Puerto Rico), to place an order. Younger collectors may buy with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. You can check out as a guest or sign in with Shop through Shopify customer accounts. You are responsible for keeping access to your account and email secure.

3. Products

• All products are genuine and sourced from official distributors. Sealed products are sold with their factory seal.
• Photos and renders are for illustration only. The language of each product (English, Spanish or Japanese) is shown on the product page.
• Random contents: booster packs, boxes, hobby and blaster boxes, tins and collections contain a random assortment set by the manufacturer. Step Select does not guarantee any specific card, player, parallel, autograph or rarity.
• Mystery boxes: contents are selected by Step Select. Only what is expressly stated on the product page is guaranteed. Mystery boxes are final sale.
• Singles and graded cards: condition is described on each listing. For graded cards, the grade and certificate number are shown and can be verified on the grading company's website (PSA, CGC, BGS, SGC).
• Merch: our apparel and playmats are original Step Select designs. Sizes and materials are listed on each product page.
• Purchase limits: so that as many collectors as possible can get new releases, we may limit units per customer, household or address. We may cancel, with a full refund, orders that exceed limits, appear to be placed for resale or use bots or other automated tools.

4. Prices and taxes

Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). Sales tax, including Florida sales tax and the Puerto Rico Sales and Use Tax (IVU), is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address. Shipping costs are shown before you pay. If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, or offer it to you at the correct price.

5. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we ship the products or send you a shipping confirmation. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if a product is unavailable, the price is wrong, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel after you have paid, we refund you in full.

6. Payment

We accept the methods shown at checkout, such as credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, Shop Pay Installments, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments are processed securely by Shopify and the relevant payment provider; we never see or store your full card number. Shop Pay Installments is subject to the provider's terms and eligibility checks.

7. Pre-orders

A pre-order reserves a product that has not been released yet. Release dates are set by the manufacturer and may change. [Choose one: "You are charged when you place the pre-order" or "You are charged when the product ships".] You can cancel a pre-order at any time before it ships for a full refund. If the manufacturer reduces our allocation and we cannot fulfil your reservation, we will notify you and refund you in full.

8. Shipping, returns and refunds

Delivery zones, times and rates are explained in our Shipping policy. Returns, exchanges and refunds are explained in our Refund policy. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers the order to your shipping address.

9. Live breaks

• Buying a spot means buying the product share described in the break listing: Step Select opens a sealed product live and ships you the cards that match your spot (team, player, pack or selection), following the rules published for each break.
• Teams or positions are assigned at random, visibly on stream, unless the break format says otherwise. Recordings of each break are kept for at least 30 days.
• You can cancel your spot for a full refund until the break starts. Once the product has been opened, spots are final.
• If a break does not take place, you receive a full refund.
• Cards are shipped sleeved and in a toploader within 2 business days of the break. Shipping charges for breaks are shown when you buy the spot.
• Breaks are only offered where permitted by law. You are responsible for checking that you may take part from where you live.

10. Pack simulator

The pack simulator is a free entertainment tool. It involves no payment, prize or monetary value. The odds it shows are approximate and do not predict what any real product contains.

11. Step Club

The Step Club loyalty program is free. Points (STP) have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and are not transferable. Points earned on orders that are returned or cancelled are deducted. We may change or end the program with at least 30 days' notice; during that period you can still redeem your points. [State whether points expire, for example after 12 months without activity.]

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the store, including by using bots or scripts to place orders, attempting to access other customers' data, interfering with the site's security, or reselling access to drops. We may suspend access or cancel orders linked to such activity.

13. Intellectual property

The Step Select name, logo, site design, photos and original merch designs belong to Step Select. Pokémon, One Piece, Dragon Ball, Disney Lorcana, Topps and other brands shown in the store belong to their respective owners (see Contact information). Step Select is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by those companies.

14. Disclaimers

Except as stated in these Terms and to the extent permitted by law, the site and products are provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the site will always be available or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Step Select is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or collection value, arising from your use of the store or products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control or by manufacturers, such as changes to release dates or allocations.

16. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY] County, Florida, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. Customers in Puerto Rico keep any rights granted to them by Puerto Rico consumer protection law, including the right to file a complaint with the Puerto Rico Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO).
